To access this menu: Press
Menu
in standby mode, and select
Settings
and
Display settings
. Select
•
Wallpaper
to set the phone to show a background image, ’wallpaper’, when the
phone is in standby mode.
The wallpaper images can be found in the
Gallery
menu. You can save new
images from received multimedia messages, download them from browser
pages, or transfer them with Nokia PC Suite from your PC. Also photos taken
with the phone’s camera can be used as wallpaper.
To set an image as the wallpaper, do either of the following:
• To select the wallpaper image for the first time or to change the image,
select
Select wallpaper
. Scroll to the desired folder in the
Gallery
menu and
press
Open
. Scroll to the image you want. Press
Open
and
Options
, and
select
Set as wallpaper
.
• If you have previously used the wallpaper but have then selected
Off
, select
On
.
If you delete an image from the
Gallery
menu while it is used as the wallpaper,
the image will still be used as the wallpaper until you change it.
Tip: To set an image as the wallpaper in the
Gallery
menu, open the
desired image, press
Options
and select
Set as wallpaper

Colour schemes
to select the colour for some parts of the phone display, such
as the indicators for the signal strength and battery charge level.

Operator logo
to set the phone to display or hide the operator logo saved in the
phone. If there is no operator logo available in the phone, this function is
dimmed.
Note that the operator logo is not displayed when the screen saver is active.
For availability of operator logos, contact your network operator or service
provider. You can create own operator logos using the Nokia Image Converter
software, see
Nokia PC Suite
on page
147
.

Screen saver time-out
to set the time (’time-out’) after which the screen saver
feature is activated.
The screen saver is a power saving feature which becomes active if the phone
is not used for a certain length of time in standby mode. When the screen saver
is active, a digital clock moves from the top to the bottom of the display and
the rest of the display is blank.
Select the timeout from the available values, or select
Other
and set the value.
The maximum timeout is 10 minutes.
You can deactivate the screen saver by pressing any key. The screen saver is
automatically deactivated when the phone moves out of the network’s
coverage area.

Display contrast
to change the contrast of the display. Press to decrease or
to increase the contrast level, and press
OK
.
