Phone settings

To access this menu: Press

Menu

in standby mode, and select

Settings

and

Phone

settings

. Select

Language settings

to select the language for the display texts. If you select

Phone language

and

Automatic

, the phone selects the language according to

the information on the SIM card. If the card includes several languages, you
can select the desired one with the

SIM language

setting.

This setting also affects the date and time formats used, for example, in the
calendar.

Automatic keyguard

to set the keypad to lock automatically after a certain

length of time when the phone is in standby mode.

To activate the automatic keyguard, select

On

and set the time after which the

keypad is locked. To deactivate the automatic keyguard, select

Off

.

Note: When Keyguard is on, calls may be possible to the emergency number
programmed into your phone (e.g. 112 or other official emergency number). Key
in the emergency number and press

. The number is displayed only after you

have keyed in its last digit.

Cell info display

to set the phone to indicate when it is used in a cellular

network based on the Micro Cellular Network (MCN) technology (network
service).

Welcome note

to define a note that is shown briefly when the phone is

switched on. Key in the note and save it by pressing

Save

. To delete the note,

press

Options

and select

Delete

.

Operator selection

to set the phone to automatically select a cellular operator

that is available in your area (

Automatic

) or to select the desired operator from

a list (

Manual

).

The selected operator must have a roaming agreement with your home
network. If no such agreement exists,

No network access

will be displayed and

you must select another operator.

The phone stays in manual mode until automatic mode is selected or another
SIM card is inserted into the phone.

to set the phone to show confirmation messages
