To access this menu: Press

Note: When security features that restrict calls are in use (call barring, closed user
group and fixed dialling), calls may be possible to certain emergency numbers in
some networks (e.g. 112 or other official emergency numbers).

to set the phone to use the UPIN or PIN code.

PIN code request
(or
UPIN code request
, depending on the

to set the phone to ask for the PIN code of the SIM card (or the UPIN code of
the USIM card) when the phone is switched on. Some cards do not allow this
setting to be changed.

•
Call barring service
to restrict the calls that can be made or received with the
phone (network service). Select the desired barring option and set it on
(
Activate
) or off (
Cancel
), or check whether the option is active (
Check status
).
•
Fixed dialling
to restrict calls and text messages from your phone to selected
phone numbers, if allowed by your SIM card. The PIN2 code is required to use
this function.
To view the numbers on the fixed dialling list, select
Number list
, scroll to the
desired name and press
View
.
To modify the fixed dialling list, press
Options
and select the appropriate
function to add a number to the list, edit the selected number or delete it from
the list, or delete all numbers from the list.
When you use fixed dialling, GPRS connections are not possible, except when
sending text messages over a GPRS connection. In this case, the message
centre number and the recipient’s phone number have to be included on the
fixed dialling list.
•
Closed user group
to specify a group of people whom you can call and who can
call you (network service). Select
Default
to set the phone to use the group
that you have agreed with your service provider. For more information contact
your network operator or service provider.
•
Security level
to define when the phone asks for the security code.
If you select
Phone
, the phone asks for the security code when a new SIM card
is inserted into the phone.

If you select
Memory
, the security code is requested when the memory in use is
SIM card
and you want to change the memory to
Phone
or
Phone and SIM
or
copy names and numbers from one phone book to another. See also

When you change this setting, the numbers in the menus
Missed calls
,
Received calls
and
Dialled numbers
are deleted.
•
Access codes
to change the security code, PIN code, PIN2 code, barring
password or UPIN code. The codes can only include numbers from 0 to 9.
